Birchbox August 2013
As quite a lot of my products and reviews do/will come from monthly subscription boxes, I decided to show you what I got inside my August Birchbox! In case you don’t know about these sorts of boxes I shall do a quick explanation. Basically all it is is a monthly subscription service, you pay them £10 + p+p a month, and they send you a box with 5-6 high end samples in (more like travel sizes than little samples as you will see). Some months you get bonus items too! There a few different companies doing these sorts of boxes now, and I would be subscribed to more if I…

Colours of the Rainbow Tag
So for todays post I decided to do my first ever tag! I had seen this tag in lots of other blogs and on youtube, so decided to join in 🙂 So basically you talk about a product you like, corresponding to one of the colours of the rainbow – Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet, then for extra giggles you add in Pink and multi-coloured too! This was actually a lot trickier than I first expected! Had to swap things around as at one point three of the products were perfume… but I succeeded! So here are my products 🙂 So without further ado (as this is…

Dot by Marc Jacobs
This review will be on the fragrance Dot by Marc Jacobs. This fragrance came out in 2012 so it isn’t brand new, but the reason I decided to review this one now is that his brand new one Honey has just been launched and there is a lot of reviews about that one in blogs and other reviews. They aren’t hugely similar, but in having similar bottles I have been finding a few comparisons online, but I personally prefer this one. So this is Dot by Marc Jacobs: Marc Jacobs never fails to bring out beautiful collectible looking fragrance bottles, of course with matching boxes/packaging. I will say that it…

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer
This review will be on Philip Kingsley’s Elasticizer. I first heard about this product when I received a 40ml tube of it via a monthly beauty subscription box, but I had put it in my “to be used” box and hadn’t tried it straight away as I had been trying/using other products. The reason I did end up trying it sooner than expected was that it was featured on QVC here in the UK in June as their “beauty pick of the month” – and as there is only one beauty product chosen per month to be the favourite for that month, I was intrigued, so started to use my…

Balmi Lip Balm – Mini Haul
So I was in Boots the other day and noticed that my beloved Balmi lip balms were on sale! I had discovered the Balmi when it had been sent to me in one of my beauty subscription boxes – as mentioned in one of my earlier posts. I really liked it from the first couple of uses, but after nearly finishing it I can safely say it’s one of my favourite lip balms. They have recently improved the packaging on the Balmi, which feels a lot sturdier and also doesn’t roll away/off tables, which is a plus! I didn’t have anything really against the older packaging, but the newer one…

Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser
This review will be on the new Spray & Go Body Moisturiser range by Vaseline. This is a brand new range by Vaseline, it was launched less than two weeks ago here in the UK! This product is an all over body moisuriser, but in spray form. A continuous spray at that, not single squirts! There are three sprays in the Spray & Go range, there is an Aloe Vera option (Aloe Fresh), a Cocoa Butter option (Cocoa Radiant), and then the Standard option (the one in the picture below). The Standard one is the one I own, but I got a chance to test out all 3 options and…

Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat Nail Strengthener
This review will be on the Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat Nail Strengthener. I got a set of this nail strengthener from QVC a few weeks back as it was on a special offer price and on the demonstration it looked really good so I thought I would give it a go. In the set I got two of the standard size bottles (18ml) and two travel sizes (5ml). It is one of the 5ml bottles in the picture I have put up of it. On the QVC website as standard they sell one 18ml bottle for £21.50. My nails grow fast, but they are weak, they peel, and they…

Ojon Revitalising Hair Mist
This review will be on the Revitalizing Hair Mist by Ojon. It is a spray leave in conditioner for the hair, retailing at £20.50 on the Ojon website for the 175ml bottle. On their website it claims to revitalize, re-hydrate, detangle, tame flyaways, and doing all of that without the product feeling sticky or still, and I have to admit, it does all of them beautifully! The smell is amaaazing, and it’s so light weight on the hair. I have long straight hair, but it’s quite fine and oily, so I have to be very careful with serums and sprays as they can make my hair look oily really fast,…

Biotherm Biocils Eye Makeup Remover
This review will be on the Biotherm Biocils Lash Optimizer Eye Makeup Remover. This eye makeup remover takes off all makeup with ease, including stubborn/waterproof makeup. From the haul I put up not too long ago, you may have guessed I am a bit of a Biotherm fan! The eye makeup remover was one of the first products I ever tried of theirs as I was recommended it by a friend, and I am glad I listened! The liquid itself is “separated” when sitting on a shelf or on your dresser, but you shake it up to use it as it then mixes the liquids ready for use. Consistency wise…

No7 Stay Perfect Mascara
This review will be on the newest No7 mascara called Stay Perfect. I decided to do my review on this mascara as it is just brand new out so there may not be many reviews on it so far! The packaging itself is all gold, it was just tricky to get a decent shot of the tube because it reflects everything. This mascara was launched about 4 weeks ago now, but I wanted to use it for a good few weeks before doing a proper review, as sometimes the initial reaction you get from a mascara (or any other product) can change after giving it a proper go, for mascaras…
