Bargain Book Haul – 01/08/13
So this is a bit of an unexpected post, as I accidentally ended up buying some books the other day, (really cheap books I will add, which totally makes it okay!). I say accidentally, I basically went for a “browse” in a book shop… should have known what would happen! Especially as said book shop happened to be The Works… anyone who knows this shop knows it’s like an amazing book shop as their prices are always amazing. The reason this is a bargain book haul though, is that I picked up 8 books, and in total it only came to £11! Who could resist that?! (There will only be…

Book Jar!
So this post is going to be on my newly made TBR Book Jar! (For anyone who doesn’t know, TBR stands for To Be Read, so basically all the books I own but haven’t read yet). I actually did not realise how many books I had that I hadn’t read yet, and it is shameful yet exciting at the same time! Part of it is because I also own a Kindle, so I buy proper books, and then end up reading some free ones on my Kindle first! That plus some series have quite a few books in them. So the book jar, I got this idea from Rincey Reads…

Books vs e-book readers
So for today’s post I decided to blog about my thoughts on real books vs e-book readers as I feel that not everyone knows the pros of e-book readers over proper books, or feels that if they get an e-reader that it will mean they aren’t allowed to buy proper books anymore when this isn’t the case at all! I for one, love my e-reader, but there is no way I would give up on buying actual books either. This post was actually inspired by a conversation I had with my Mum the other day about her Kindle, she was saying how, as much as she loves actual books, she…

Book Haul – 19/01/13
Hey everyone! I got some books I had been wanting for a long time, so decided to do another small book haul as these are more than likely ones I will be doing reviews on! I have heard such good things about all of these books so I am really excited about reading them! I have seen a lot of reviews about all of them apart from Hidden, as I didn’t need reviews as it is the 10th one in the House of Night series which I adore, so I automatically bought that as soon as it came out!! Entwined by Heather Dixon (had to get the hardback of this…

Book Review: The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold 328 Pages Rating: 1/5 stars “My name was Salmon, like the fish; first name, Susie. I was fourteen when I was murdered on December 6, 1973. My murderer was a man from our own neighborhood. My mother liked his border flowers, and my father talked to him once about fertilizer. This is Susie Salmon, speaking to us from heaven. It looks like her school playground, with the good kind of swing sets. There are counsellors to help newcomers to adjust, and friends to room with. Everything she wants appears as soon as she thinks of it – except the thing she wants most: to…

Book Haul – 16/10/12
Hey guys, this is my first book haul on my blog! I ordered these online a week or so ago from The Works and they arrived today so I decided to post a picture of the ones I got. I will do reviews on most/all of these books once I read them, some may be a quick review, others will be more in depth! Normally if I am buying books out of a series I only buy the first one, as that way if I don’t like it, I haven’t wasted money on the others, but the reason I got 3 of the one series this time is that they…
