Bargain Book Haul – 01/08/13

So this is a bit of an unexpected post, as I accidentally ended up buying some books the other day, (really cheap books I will add, which totally makes it okay!).

I say accidentally, I basically went for a “browse” in a book shop… should have known what would happen! Especially as said book shop happened to be The Works… anyone who knows this shop knows it’s like an amazing book shop as their prices are always amazing.

The reason this is a bargain book haul though, is that I picked up 8 books, and in total it only came to £11! Who could resist that?!

(There will only be 7 books in this haul though, as I bought one as a gift for my mum.)

So the books… I thought I was being really good, as I had only picked up two and thought that was all I would be getting on that particular trip. These are the two I picked up first:

books

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

The Mammoth Book of Dark Magic edited by Mike Ashley (“23 spellbinding tales of sorcery, wizardry and witchcraft”)

These two books were on a deal so I got the two for just £5!

Just heading to the till when I see a large stand…. all books in that section… £1!! I knew as soon as i saw it I was doomed. So I then ended up with another 5 (plus one for my Mum).

Those 5 are:

The Gift by Celia Ahern

Lizzie Jordan’s Secret Life by Chris Manby

Cougars by Claire Irvin

The Good, the Bad and the Dumped by Jenny Colgan

Roses by Leila Meacham

As I said, each of these 5 books were only £1 each, how good of a deal is that?! Could not resist.

That’s it for this post, next one will be up on Friday.

Suppose for now I had better put these books into the TBR book jar… possibly a counter productive move in terms of the jar, but I am happy with the deal I got on the books!

Have you read any of these? Let me know what they were like!

Reviews on these books may appear in due course once I get round to reading them. The next book review going up will either be Anna and the French Kiss or Cinder.
