John Frieda Frizz ease Shampoo and Conditioner Review (+ Curl Enhancing Oil)

TodayI will be doing a review on the John Frieda Frizz-ease Hydrating shampoo and conditioner duo*. A few months ago I did a review on the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette shampoo and conditioner, which I also do like, but I think I prefer the frizz ease range! As far as “drugstore/highstreet” shampoos and conditioners go, I am impressed with these! Usually with my hair care I prefer the higher end products and brands, such as Redken and Ojon, but, these two products here actually do feel more premium than not which I like. The scent from them both is nice but nothing special really. I like the fact that they…

    Beauty UK Blushes Review

This post will be reviewing the Beauty UK blushes. I picked these two blushes up from Superdrug for £3.99 each, but they were on an offer of buy one get one half price, so it averaged out I got them for around £3 each. Bargain. In all honesty I had never even heard of the brand Beauty UK before, but these blushes caught my eye as they are baked, and very shimmery. I decided to get two colours, Rose Rouge 2 and Halo 3. Rose Rouge 2 is a lovely pink shade with a little shimmer, and Halo 3 in all honesty, is more of a highlighter. The blushes from…

Kate Moss Matte Rimmel Lipstick Review

This post is going to be a review on the Kate Moss Matte Rimmel Lipsticks. Obviously I won’t be reviewing the entire range, of shades, but in having two it gives me a good idea of how the products rate overall, and in short, I like them! I like Rimmel lipsticks in general, so was quite interested in these matte lipsticks when I first saw them. It always worried me with matte looking lipsticks that they would look/feel very dry, and in a way it is true and you do have to be careful, but what I liked about these is that they didn’t look dry, and they only started…

SunJunkie Fake Tan (Mousse and Mist) Review

The product I decided I wanted to post up a review on today is a couple of products from the SunJunkie Sunless tanning range. Until recently (the last year or so) I had hardly ever used fake tan of any sort, apart from maybe the gradual tan moisturisers, but it got to the point where I felt I did want a little more colour/warmth to my skin as I am very pale. I don’t (and wouldn’t want to even if I could) tan naturally. I burn, and then go back to my original pale state. Plus there are so many health issues that can arise from tanning in the sun…

    Impress Press-on Manicure Review

I decided to do a review on something a little different today and do a post all about press-on/fake nails, by the brand imPRESS.   I came across this brand as a colleague at work used them a lot and recommended them to me. I had never gotten around to trying any until I received a set in a Glossybox a month or so ago. The ones I received were the medium length press-on nails in the classic french manicure style, but on the white tips there is a little glitter which is really pretty. I was really excited when I received these as I had been wanting to try…

    Redken Clear Moisture Shampoo Review

A couple of months ago I did a post on the Redken Smooth Lock shampoo which I adore. After going through two bottles of the Smooth Lock shampoo by Redken I decided to try a different shampoo in their range the next time I was needing one, and the one I decided to go for was the Clear Moisture shampoo. Packaging wise I prefer this shampoo as it’s a really lovely, fresh, clean blue colour (as opposed to the brown of the Smooth Lock), and the smell is different but just as lovely, but shampoo wise, I prefer the Smooth Lock for my hair. This shampoo is described as light…

    Glossybox November 2013

I decided to mix things up a bit today and show what I received in this months Glossybox instead of Birchbox! There are good and bad points to each box, for example the Glossybox boxes and general packaging are so much prettier than Birchbox, and I do hold onto the Glossybox ones to reuse. Unfortunately though I feel you don’t always get as many high end samples in the Glossybox which was the whole reason for subscribing in the first place. 3 out of the 5 items here, full price, are less than £5. In saying that, I was fairly pleased with this months box and I have been enjoying…

    Empties #1

I am quite excited to be writing this as empties posts are one of my favourites, due to the fact it can take me ages to finish a product as I am really bad for jumping from product to product, and also because you get a mini review on a varied selection of products in each empties post. I wanted to make sure I had a few products to show before doing this post, but because of that I probably won’t be doing too many empties products throughout the year. In this empties post I have 8 products to show you. (Although actually 9, as I went through two bottles…

Vera Wang Princess Perfume Review – 100ml edp

My plan was to do a fragrance post on a lovely warm, slightly spicy scent for the cooler months, something more seasonally appropriate, but in all honesty I have been loving this perfume recently so wanted to share it with you all. I had known about the Princess by Vera Wang perfume for quite a while, and thought the bottle was really pretty, but had never been overly intrigued to have a smell of it to see what I thought. It was only after reading some other blog reviews and reading the notes that are in it that I decided to give it a test on my skin and low…

    Smashbox Wonder Vision Mega Palette

Not too long ago I did a review on the Smashbox Wonder Vision Lip Gloss Set and raved about the quality and price of it. Well today I will be showing you another product from their holiday collection this year, their Wonder Vision Mega Palette. I love the packaging on this palette, including the box. You can definitely see from the box how the inspiration for this holiday collection came from a kaleidoscope. This palette retails at £49, which may sound a lot of money (because it is), but you get 4 blushes, and 30 eyeshadow colours in it! So for value it is amazing. I just so happened to…
