John Frieda Luxurious Volume Shampoo, Conditioner and Blow-out Spray

In this post I decided to do a review of three products from the John Frieda Luxurious Volume range, being the shampoo*, the conditioner*, and a volumising blow-dry spray* called the “fine to full blow-out spray”.

Having tried quite a few of the John Frieda hair products now I am fast becoming quite a big fan of them!

You can get more information about these products from the John Frieda website here, or for a link to Boots where you can buy them you can click here πŸ™‚

My favourite product out of these three items would have to be the Fine to full blow-out spray!

Normally I avoid sprays that you have to spray into damp hair before blow drying, as I find a lot of them are heavy, oily, sticky, and just not fun to use at all! The other main issue I have with a lot of them is that they make the hair feel very textured and matte which can be a nightmare if you need to be able to do something with it the next day. This is completely the opposite though which really impressed me!

It gives volume without the feeling of any residue (and I sprayed quite a lot), and it doesn’t make your hair feel stiff, crispy, greasy, or anything else that you really don’t need/want on freshly washed hair!

I do find you do have to spray quite a lot to get any noticeable volume, but as I said it doesn’t weigh the hair down at all so I don’t really mind this too much πŸ™‚

Now onto the shampoo and conditioner…

Β What I find with the John Frieda shampoo and conditioners (shampoos in particular) is that they give the appearance that you are using high end hair products and not a range which are only around Β£5.99 each.

I know this is a volumising range for fine hair, but after having used this duo only a couple of times, a few people had said how shiny and bright my hair looked which is a nice added bonus to the range! This isn’t the one for coloured hair (I do colour my hair) so it’s really good that this duo can make your hair look brighter and shinier, along side it’s volumising properties.

This in itself has made me want to try the one for coloured hair within this range to see if it really makes my hair colour stand out.

As for volumising…

I wouldn’t say it makes a huge amount of difference to the amount of volume throughout your hair if you let your hair air-dry and just sit flat/smooth, but if you use a hairdryer and flip your head over whilst drying it – and especially if you use the blow-dry spray I mentioned above – it does give you quite a lot of lift/volume.

I think the biggest difference I have noticed is when I curl my hair, the curls seem that little bit bouncier than usual which is nice when you have quite fine hair as I do πŸ™‚

All in all I really do like the John Frieda products and will be purchasing this luxurious volume range again though most probably I will go for the one for coloured hair πŸ™‚

John Frieda also have a YouTube channel in case anyone is interested in checking out their hints and tips videos πŸ™‚ YouTube link.

Have you tried this range? Or the colour treated options?

Let me know πŸ™‚
