I love Makeup Tag
I got tagged not too long ago by the lovely Laura at PinkFrenzy to do the I Love Makeup Tag – which was so lovely of her, and right up my street!
It will be a short post as there is only four main questions by the looks of it!
On to the questions…
1 – When did you begin loving makeup?
I think I was around 13-14ish when I first started getting into makeup, although I wouldn’t have said at that stage that I loved it, it was more just playing around with lipstick and a black eyeliner pencil mostly. I suppose I properly started loving makeup when I was around 17.
2 – How do you feel without makeup?
To be honest I am not that fussed without makeup. Of course it’s nicer to have makeup on, whether it be a full face or just a few bits, but some days if my sole intention for the day is to walk the dog, blog and do little else, I don’t always put makeup on, just moisturiser and lipbalm.
In answer to the question I do feel better with makeup on, even just a little, but I am fine with going out bare faced also.
3 – What do you like about makeup?
Similar answer to Lauras here, everything! I love the way it gives people confidence, the way you can change your look to change your mood or how you are feeling that day, the way you can use it quite literally as a work of art or to express your individuality.
I personally like the confidence and the fact you can just switch up a couple of products and get a completely different look from it all.
4 – Three holy grail makeup products?
One of my three is actually a duo of products (totally allowed…). It’s the combination of using Too Faced Shadow Insurance and MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study. This is the BEST and ONLY combination of eyelid primer I have found where your eyeshadow literally does not move at all no matter what.
Primers tend not to last on me, and while these two separately will do the job also, after a while they will start to crease, where as using them together (Too Faced Shadow Insurance first) then it turns into the best base ever.
Painterly Paint Pot by MAC does also work, but the Bare Study Paint Pot is just that little bit drier so holds the shadows in place better.
My second holy grail product would be another product by MAC and it would be the Black Track Fluidline eyeliner. This is my favourite eyeliner as it goes on so easily, stays on all day, doesn’t smudge – just love it!
The third product I would choose as a holy grail product would be my Benefit Play Stick Foundation. This is a full coverage foundation, but I double it up to use as a concealer also. It goes on and blends in so easily, and gives such a beautiful flawless look to the skin, plus it stays on! Love it.
So that was the tag! Hope you enjoyed reading it!
I tag everyone who reads this, to do this tag. Either do a blog post or leave it in the comments below! If you do your own post, link me so I can read it!
